1/2” ID Polywire Non-Collapsible Supply / Suction Hose Sold Per Foot
1/2" ID Polywire heavy wall non-collapsible reinforced supply/suction hose for low and high pressure pumps sold per continuous foot (12”) according to just about every document we can find, these hoses should always be at least one size larger than the port the hose is installed into. Avoid pre-mature failure by educating yourself.
The inlet line size should be adequate to avoid starving the pump.
- Line size must be a minimum of one size larger than the pump inlet fitting. Avoid tees, 90-degree elbows, or valves in the inlet line of the pump to reduce the risk of flow restriction and cavitation.
- The line must be a flexible hose, not a rigid pipe, and reinforced on suction systems to avoid collapsing.
- The simpler the inlet plumbing the less the potential for problems. keep the length to a minimum, the number of elbows and joints to a minimum (ideally no elbows) and the inlet accessories to a minimum.
- Use pipe sealant to ensure air-tight, positive sealing pipe joints.
Hose is available in 100' continuous run
Hose will be slightly generously cut and sent in one continuous length unless you send a note indicating otherwise. If you need an end crimped-on with one of our hydraulic crimpers, we can provide that service.
This hose can be used with corrosive chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. Remember that we can crimp on a hose end of your choice so that you will not have to install a hose clamp.
